● A team of archaeologists has made a groundbreaking discovery on a beach in Morocco – footprints left by ancient humans an astonishing 90,000 years ago. ● This find offers a rare glimpse into the lives of early Homo sapiens in Africa.
● The footprints were found preserved in solidified sand deposits. ● Scientists used optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) to determine their age.
● Analysis of the footprints suggests they belonged to a group of at least five early humans. ● The group included adults and children of varying ages. ● One set of footprints could belong to a surprisingly tall adult male, estimated to be 6 feet and 2 inches tall.
● This discovery is significant for several reasons: ● It's some of the oldest evidence of Homo sapiens in North Africa. ● It pushes back the timeline of human presence in this region. ● It provides insights into the social structure and behavior of early humans.
● This discovery offers a compelling look into the past and highlights the potential for further discoveries along the Moroccan coast. ● Continued research will shed even more light on the lives of our ancient ancestors.
