Mission Details

The Falcon 9's first-stage booster landed on the autonomous droneship "Just Read the Instructions" in the Atlantic Ocean for future reuse. ● The Merah Putih satellite was deployed into a geosynchronous transfer orbit, where it will eventually operate at an altitude of around 36,000 kilometers.

Merah Putih's Purpose

● This high-throughput satellite will provide broadband internet service across Indonesia's vast archipelago. ● It aims to improve connectivity and bridge the digital divide in the country.

SpaceX and Indonesia

● This launch marks the second collaboration between SpaceX and Telkomsat. ● SpaceX previously launched the Telkom-4 satellite (formerly known as Merah Putih) in 2018.
